I know I should avoid meat and candy will keep working on that

So what have I eaten

Egg Salad Sandwich - 490 Cal
Tall Americano Iced - 25 Cal

RUNNING TOTAL = 765 Cal

Sitting here working on the new version of the dissertation - Just need to write and write and get more writing done - make sure I can give what I am trying to say in a voice that is understandable

Thursday was an amazing day - felt like everything was going my way 

and then as usual Friday was not so good 

but my weight is good

I was 346 lbs today or maybe even 343 lbs need to check one sec

Well my birthday has come and gone - I am 28 years old - I have been working to lose weight - not much exercise though - need to ramp that up - will do upon return to washington state - which is soon in october -- let me see 

I had a birthday cake - I am working on the whole vegetarian thing - it is really quite nice and I feel a lot better - besides this cold that is - which has been around since the 15th of October.

Funny thing - my father wrote what to put on the cake and he managed to get ALL the degrees wrong - BA, LLD, MA -- should be BS (biochemistry&cell biology, UC San Diego), JD (Law, SMU Dedman School of Law), and MSc ( Socio-Legal Studies, University of Bristol)

But really it is the thought that counts and I do love my parents

I guess it is time for an update - once again no scale to weigh me - so I have to wonder if i have gone up or down - my brother tried to tell me I was a heavy as he ever saw me and wanted to say i was 380 

this all came up with debating weightloss surgery and I decided he just doesnt get it - so i finally explained to him the leah and him provide the same kind  of stresses as my parents and that without constant contact I lose weight  

So I am learning to deal with it - I have been working on it - but at the same time my brother was like when was the last time u were under 300? and i said 3rd year law school 296.8 and he was like really?  that pissed me off 

So whatever - I am working for myself and need to get back to washington or other locales to get back to a place where I can control what I eat and when - i know houston is always a pain because i don't like it there - so will have to figure it out but the ike issues have passed mostly 

I have applied for some university jobs in washington as well 

Oklahoma City Diet - Stomach Upset - Looking for vegetarian difficult

Well I am in Norman, Oklahoma

I came for my brother's 26th Birthday and for his swearing in to the Oklahoma Bar.  His gift is still on its way - should arrive sometime tomorrow - I also got robert a frame for his oklahoma law diploma

I have been eating weird stuff and my stomach has been off - but that could be from stopping the 20 mg cymbalta -- so no worries - After the swearing in I at at Toby Keith's restaurant 

Fried Bologne - and let me see anything else ??????

Well tomorrow to have indian curry which will be vegetarian

Houston - Minor Surgery - Food - Sept 22 2008

Well I guess an update is in order:

I am in Houston and have been without power since Sept 17th - my parents have been without power since Sept 12th - post Hurricane Ike. 

I wonder when we will get power back - the home is in an area which has the worst power restoration. We will have to wait and see if we get power back tomorrow

Let me see I had to have minor surgery today - My dad cut open my right ring finger because I had a finger felon - a bad infection in my finger. There was some green puss and all but I cleared it but to be safe and since there was still pain and heat from the finger we operated.  We made two incisions either side to the bone - once it was numb - but it is doing alright - on pain meds when the throbbing and pain comes back 

We will hope this clears the infection - I dont want to lose the finger / which is what might  have happened if we hadnt started the antibiotics or anything else 

Let me see - There are NO GROCEREY stores open - in my local vicinity  - really quite concerned - NO POWER - no stores - I will have to shop at COSTCO soon - but I am sure it will hopefully be soon before I realize this is all over 

The issue now I dont know - I am applying for jobs - have applied for a position at bristol for a fixed term.  IN sociology - I think I might have some opprotunity it involves gender studies which I know is one of my favorites. 

I will hope and wish for power tomorrow - since it is getting really bad and annoying without power - the heat is coming back and the US stock market is going to shit - but I will be leaving wednesday at 2:30 to Oklahoma for my brother's birthday and I am quite excited - AC and all and he is getting sworn in - so I am sure it will be nice.

Well that is my update - will weigh and track food as we continue - it looks like the phone may have come back in permanently - but I could be wrong - if so we dont have power but the generator provides phone and internet.
